    Description

This service is designed for those who have already completed and obtained the RBT 40 HR Course certificate and are ready to complete their RBT Competency Assessment.

A qualified assessor will help you complete the required RBT Competency Assessment. You will receive an email outlining the steps and documents needed to be completed prior to meeting with the accessor. Once completed, the board certified accessor will contact you to set up an appointment to complete the 20 tasks as listed on the assessment.

Given the contract details, the responsibility of ABA International Academy and the supervising BCBA under Azul Therapy Services extends until the RBT applicants pass their exam and either secure a job with a new supervisor or for up to 3 months while they are searching for a job and a new supervisor. After this period, the supervision responsibilities typically transition to the new employer or supervisor.
Once a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) completes a competency assessment for an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) applicant, their responsibility for the supervisee typically concludes once the RBT has passed their exam and is officially certified. However, ongoing supervision requirements depend on the employment arrangement and the specific regulations set by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
    Here are the key points:
    1. Competency Assessment Role: The BCBA’s role in the competency assessment is to ensure that the RBT applicant demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge to function effectively in their role.
    2. Post-Certification: Once the RBT passes their exam and receives certification, the BCBA who conducted the competency assessment is not automatically responsible for supervising the RBT unless they have an ongoing supervisory relationship or are employed by the same organization.
    3. Ongoing Supervision Requirement: RBTs are required to have ongoing supervision from a qualified supervisor (a BCBA, BCaBA, or other approved supervisor) for at least 5% of their monthly hours spent delivering behavior-analytic services. This supervision is arranged by their employer or the organization they work for.
    4. Documentation: It’s important to maintain documentation of the competency assessment and supervision agreements, as these records may be required for compliance or auditing purposes for up to 7 years.
